I was given the opportunity to produce and direct an animated lyric video for Roses, a debut single by UK-based musician Finn Askew.
In an effort to promote his music more in the Southeast Asian region, a number of artists and animators (including me!)
jumped in to create their own unique takes of the song.
The song felt very nostalgic and dream-like, so I had the idea of mixing old, archival home videos with
collage/magazine cutouts for a hazy, grungy trip down memory lane.
It was a lot of fun stretching and experimenting in a different style that I’m used to - and I’m very happy to share this result!
